UKSS Ski/Snowboard L1 Instructor Training
The UKSS L1 Foundation Snowboard Instructor qualification licenses candidates to teach beginners and early intermediates at UK snowsport centres. The qualification can be used in UK artificial snowsport centres and also in Scottish mountain snowsport resorts (upon completion of an additional 1 day of mountain induction training).

Roller Ski Race Series 2025
The Snowsport Scotland Roller Ski Series typically aspires to 6 annual roller ski races held across Scotland between May and October. Competitor’s 3 best results are used to determine the winners by series category. All roller ski races are open to all age groups, from under 10s right through to Master’s categories.

Child Wellbeing & Protection in Sport (CWPS)
The Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport course is for coaches and sports volunteers. The training will provide you with the knowledge on child wellbeing and protection that will give you the confidence to deal with issues that may arise in your role working with children.

Parallel Lines
The Parallel Lines race series is a fun open race, for both skiers and snowboarders, aimed at riders with disabilities and assisted needs but open to everyone!
Running over the summer of 2025 across multiple venues, the races are slalom races suitable for a wide range of abilities, taking pace in various indoor snow centres across the UK.

Workforce Education Conference
Craigclowan School, Perth will host our Education Conference on Sunday 14th September. This location will give us the opportunity to host both classroom-based and on-slope training sessions.
We hope to offer something to interest all our Coaches, Instructors and Alpine Ski Leaders - more details of sessions available to follow
The day is open to SSS Coach, Leader, Instructor members and those holding snowsports qualifications through other awarding bodies (eg. BASI).
Club and Community Development Officer
Snowsport Scotland is looking for an energetic, experienced individual to drive the development of snowsports across the country. In this role, you'll create inclusive participation initiatives, secure funding, support sustainable club development, and build strong partnerships with local authorities, schools, and other stakeholders. You'll also work closely with the communications team to promote skiing and snowboarding programs. If you're passionate about increasing access to snowsports and fostering community growth, we want to hear from you!
