Snowsport Scotland is very pleased to announce the Triple crown series for 2020/2021 will kick off at Bearsden Saturday the 14th November.  The Triple crown is a three-part Park & Pipe tour where skiers and snowboarders compete in three different and distant environments – Dryslope, Indoor and Mountain.  After the last event overall winners are announced.

This year we are expanding the categories and now see the addition of a Student, Club and University categories.  The Club and University categories will be scored at each event by combining all competitors ranking from each club or university, using the overall points scoring system. For the Club Trophy, points will be combined across all categories, so enter the biggest team!  The Individual Overall titles will be awarded to competitors in the Open category, based on scores across all 3 events, for both Male and Female Freeski and Male and Female Snowboard.  There will also now be a similar “Under16” overall title. Another first for this year is the addition of a mixed gender Under12 overall title. This will consist of males and females competing together for one Snowboard and one Freeksi trophy!

In light of the ongoing Covid situation, we want to make the competition as safe as possible for everyone. This as a result, will impact the format, from its usual layout.

In order to comply with the covid guidance, we will need to have the three main categories spaced out across the timetable of the day. This has meant the removal of the Crown Jam, in order for the Under12’s, Under16’s and Open+Student category segments to have enough space to run separately.

Our aspiration is any changes we need to make add more fun and we look forward to seeing everyone compete in this new format.
