STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT

 

British (and Scottish) ski team athlete, Level 2 ski coach and 4th year sports coaching student, Lachlan Veitch will be joining Snowsport Scotland to support the GB Home Nations U16 Alpine Programme.

 

As an athlete, Lachlan was a member of the British children’s ski team, competing both in British and international races. Recently, Lachlan (Guide) and Neil Simpson (Athlete) won Gold and Silver in the Para World Cup races in Leogang in the lead up to the Paralympic games.

 

During the last few seasons, Lachlan has worked with the GB Paralympic Team as a guide and has coached with numerous Scottish clubs including the Alpine Training Centre (ATC) and Glasgow Ski Racing (GSR), as both an assistant and lead coach.

 

Out with skiing, Lachlan has excelled in his sporting academic studies having previously worked at the youth pathway level for Celtic’s soccer academy as a coach. Lachlan also continues to work as a coach/educator for charitable organisations, creating pathways to sport participation for the vulnerable and people living with disabilities.
