Scottish Artificial Slope Alpine Championships 2019

Amazing weather for the start of the Scottish Championships.
Day 1:
The athletes raced two runs of slalom down some great challenging courses at Hillend.
Well done to Nicole Ritchie and Joe grieve came out on top in the main event.
There was also a dual slalom afterwards where the older LSR athletes were challenged first by Glasgow Ski Racing then the younger LSR racers. Full results can be found on the gbski and our own Snowsport Scotland websites at the end of the weekend.
Stuart Spence and the great volunteers will host the only GS on artificial in Scotland on Day 2.
Isla Cameron took the U10 title with Brooke Baxter winning the U12. Sophie Anderson came 3rd over all winning the U14 age group with Taylor Langmuir in 4th overall and taking the U16 prize. Local racer Holley Mckey had a good day coming 2nd overall in the event and 1st U18. In the boys brothers Alex and Arron McDonald took the U12 and U10 fastest boys prize and Lewis Mckey winning the U14 age category and coming 5th overall. Daniel Leitch had a great 1st run and managed to hold on for the 2nd to be the U16 Scottish slalom Champion. Adam Hay was winning the 1st run but his 2nd cost him the overall title but he was still able to take home the U21 title. Lothian Ski Racing Joe Grieve held it together and put down 2 soldi runs winning the male title, sharing the podium with Glasgow Ski Racing multi Indoor and dryslope female winner Nicole Ritchie.
