
As a representative organisation for snowsports, Snowsport Scotland has established key partnerships and strategic alliances with other organisations that support and deliver products and services to the snowsports industry.

Ski Scotland is the marketing organisation that represents the 5 mountain ski areas and Snowfactor. They play a key role in promoting snowsports to the wider population and work closely with Visit Scotland to attract visitors to Scotland. Ski Scotland frequently lobby political support for the commercial snowsports centres to ensure longevity of the sport in Scotland.
Snowsport Scotland works closely with Ski Scotland supporting the development of both the sport and it’s facilities. Ski Scotland provide all-area passes to Snowsport Scotland’s top athletes. For more information visit the Ski Scotland website
Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports is the official sponsor for the Park and Pipe Team, The Triple Crown Event Series and the Scottish Freedom Series. This partnership bring discounts of up to 15% for all SSS Supporter members 10% discounts for all competitors and coaches and prizes for both the Triple Crown and Scottish Freedom Series.

Glenmore Lodge is the National Outdoor Centre based up near Aviemore with a long-standing reputation for providing the gold standard in mountain leadership and snowsports backcountry leadership qualifications. Glenmore lodge is a key training centre for Snowsport Scotland responsible for the design and delivery for the off-piste snowsports leadership qualifications.

As the national agency for sport in Scotland sportscotland works with Scottish governing bodies offering financial, strategic and operational support to their organisations. Snowsport Scotland currently receives a proportion of its funding from sportscotland.

In recognition of the potential mutual benefits to be gained through a collaborative approach for their respective members, SSS and BASI are working together to evaluate the possibility of mutual recognition in relation to the delivery and development of snowsport instructor awards in Scotland.

Snowsport Scotland has a long-standing partnership of mutual awards recognition with the Irish Association of Ski Instructors. This mutual recognition permits qualified instructors leaders and coaches to be able to be recognised at their level and ‘equivalenced’ with accredited prior learning (APL) if seeking to move between the qualifications of each organisation.
