GB Snowsport (GBS) is the National Governing Body for International Snowsports within the United Kingdom; it is responsible for the representation and management of any British Snowsport athlete who wishes to compete in International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) sanctioned or Olympic events. This includes all Olympic and Paralympic snowsport disciplines together with Speed Skiing and Telemark.

GBS continues on an exciting journey. We have a high profile and energetic CEO and have achieved a number of “firsts” for Great Britain across the full range of our different disciplines. Funding for all sports governing bodies is always tough, but we have developed a number of fund-raising schemes, alongside the funding we get from UK Sport, to secure additional funds to deliver appropriate resources and programmes to help our athletes achieve outstanding competition results. Finding suitable sponsors remains a tough challenge for elite sport, and hence someone with a strong commercial and marketing background will be a significant asset to the Board.

GBS seeks two Independent Director’s (one to act as treasurer) to join the Board and help oversee the organisation and our different sporting disciplines.
