Snowsport Scotland offers membership to all snowsports clubs and associations operating in Scotland.
Affiliated member clubs and associations become part of a broader strategic consultation group leading the development of Snowsports across Scotland. They also become eligible for funding support and insurance and receive a host of valuable benefits outlined below.
To be eligible to affiliate to Snowsport Scotland clubs and associations must be formally constituted with an appropriate legal and governance structure comprising a managing committee. They must align their activities to the broader strategic objectives of Snowsport Scotland and adhere to the policies detailed in the membership application form.
CORE INSURANCE BENEFITS:
At the core of the club benefits package is a comprehensive public liability insurance package offering protection for club and association committees, and their individual members, offered through Bluefin insurance brokers from Sportscover.
The cover includes:-
- £10million Officers and Directors Liability Insurance which protects the club committee from claims made against them for negligence in delivering club activities.
- £10million Employers Liability Insurance for all appointed officials, coaches or volunteers protecting them from any claims made against them for negligence in delivering club activities.
- £10million Product Liability Insurance which protects the club against claims made against them for failings in any equipment that gives rise to damage or injury to a third party.
- £10million Snowsports Liability Insurance which protects all club members against claims brought against them for any damage or injury caused to a third party whilst participating in snowsports (Note: 365 days worldwide. Excluding USA and Canada. Excluding off-piste, unless a recognised off-piste qualification or award is held)
