The last 6 months have been a tough time for people, the economy and sport, but the determination of the Scottish ski industry goes undeterred – perhaps due to the resilience of years of tolerating fickle Scottish winters…

Leading the charge on reactivating Snowsports has been the Scottish artificial facilities and at the time of writing 82% of these centres are now open.

For recreational participants, clubs, athletes and the centres themselves this is a welcome step forwards and its has been really encouraging to see so many people turning up to to support their slope reopening clad in masks with their hand gel.

So, a big thank you goes out from Snowsport Scotland to all the facilities for trying their upmost to safely get us all skiing and snowboarding again – we’re with you all the way and ready to support where we can.

Within another 4-5 weeks the remaining centres are scheduled to also open their doors and looking forward to winter (COVID permitting) we are really looking forward to seeing all the mountain centres back in operation for snowsports. Let’s hope for snow…
