Reiteralm delivers the goods as weather affects entry

The hill crew at Reiteralm did all they could to ensure racing took place but the heavy snowfall affected the number of racers that were able to make the race. Team evolution have put on great races over the years for racers based in the western side of the alps but this year the weather conspired against them. Usually the Evolution Speed series consists of Super G races but the hard work put in by all the volunteers meant that two Giant Slalom’s and a slalom was all that the hill was capable of hosting - there was just too much new snow to run speed races.

Daisy Cowie was the only Scottish female racer in the Under 14 age group and she finished in 8th in the age group.

In the boys race William Lennox took third place in the Under 14 age group and fifth place overall, just edged out of second in the age group by one of the Dutch racers that were taking part. Ryrie Hodge had been in second in the Under 14 age group after the first run but lost time on the second run to drop to fourth overall. Kieran Lennox took fifth in the age group.

Ross McIntyre was third in the Under 16 age group but lost a lot of time on the second run to drop down the overall leaderboard.
