Fife Rollerski Day

Snowsport Scotland's inaugural Fife Roller ski day will be held at the brand new Fife Cycle Park on the 25th of August.


The morning is all about people trying the sport for all ages! This a fantastic chance to try the summer version of the Olympic sport of cross country skiing in Scotland. For those that are already hooked on the sport there will be top class coaching available to prepare for the races in the afternoon.


Come lunch time it's on to the competitions phase of the day, starting with the novice races at 12:30.The races will progress through the Scottish series age groups until the men’s category at 15:00. All races will all be skate mass starts on Matched Marwe skis which will be the first of its kind in Scotland.

Junior come and try 10:30am to 12:00 noon :
Chance for kids from size 13 (uk kids) feet to try roller skiing for the first time and try something very unique in Scotland.


Adult come and try 10:00am to 12 noon: 

For Adults who want to try Roller skiing for the first time. Fantastic for your personal fitness as it uses almost every muscle in the body


Athlete training session 10:00am to 12 noon: 

Coaching for athletes wanting to improve and prepare for the races in the afternoon. All athletes 11 years old and above. 

The races then start at 12:30 for the novices which is open to EVERYONE of all ages. Anyone trying roller skiing in the morning is encouraged to try the short Novice race!

Race details:

Novice = 1.6km

U14/U12 Girls and Boys = 3.2km


U16/U18/Ladies = 6.4km

U16/U18/Men’s = 9.6km

Team sprints = 2x500m *time dependant*


There will also be a agility course setup with a prize for the fastest time in both Girls and Boys U16.
