Cross Country and Rollerski Racing

Cross country and Rollerski racing is a developing scene in Scotland with races held throughout the summer and winter (weather permitting). Competitions are organised by the clubs and Snowsport Scotland. The two main areas where competitions are held is Huntly, Aberdeenshire and Glenmore, Aviemore.

Huntly Open Championships

On snow race held at the Clashindarroch for all ages and abilities. 


Huntly Sprints

GB Series race with of two prologues before progressing to Knockout heats. Organiser will supply skiers with Marwe Skate barrel-wheeled rollerskis. All ages including first time novice races. 

Clashindarroch Hill Climb

Gruelling hill climb with over 200m of vertical accent in the 8km course and 130m in the 5km junior course. Any type of classic rollerski which must have a ratchet are allowed.  Must be over 10 years of age to compete. 


Glenmore Lodge 4/5/6.5 km

CBNSC club race, time trial over various distances at Glenmore lodge. 

Cairngorm Hill Climb

Freestyle rollerski race up the infamous Cairngorm hill road with various distances for different age groups. Any type of rollerski under FIS rules are allowed.



3- 7km (depending on age) Freestyle rollerski race in time trial format. Novice races also held along with Relays after the main races. Organiser will supply skiers with Marwe barrel-wheel rollerskis to all competitors and open to all ages.

3 - lap challenge & team sprints

3 lap sprint challenge followed by team sprints. Teams are dictated by the results of the sprint challenge. Organisers will supply all competitors with Marwe barrel-wheel rollerskis and open to all ages.
