Non-Executive Finance Director

Snowsport England is seeking to appoint a replacement Non-Executive Finance Director who is required to make a significant contribution in maximising the opportunities for growth while delivering senior level expertise on all financial matters.

About the Board

The Board governs the organisation and has overall responsibility for the performance and direction of Snowsport England. 

The appointment is for a three-year term. Directors will be required to attend up to six Board meetings per annum as well as the Annual General Meeting together with supporting the business in the related areas to their skill sets.

The Chair and Non-Executive Board Directors will be involved in shaping the strategic aims of the organisation, providing creative, informed and constructive input to the CEO and Operations Team.

Snowsport England is looking to appoint to the Board individuals with diverse, varied and complementary skillsets, who will match their business and commercial experience with a strong passion and commitment to the sport.

The role is non-remunerated with reasonable out-of-pocket expenses reimbursed.

Opportunity: Party Host

Opportunity Description: Our Party Hosts meet and greet our guests on arrival and look after them during their visit. They confirm activities booked, their duration, location and safety requirements. Safety briefings are delivered for tubing sessions and guests supervised at all times. Slope space and ringos are set up appropriately and any problems are recognised, dealt with confidently and escalated where necessary to ensure parties are fun and safe.

Skills and Qualifications Required: 

You don’t require snow sports experience, we ask that you are enthusiastic, friendly and  comfortable with communicating face to face with a wide range of people. This would include the adults booking the parties and parents attending with young children as well as the young party guests. You should;

  • Be able to make parties fun whilst retaining responsibility for safety and ensuring sessions run to time.
  • Be reliable and proactive.
  • Enjoy being outdoors and have an interest in sport, health and wellbeing.
  • Be committed to equality and NSASC’s vision and mission.
  • Be available to work weekends and holidays

Oppurtnity: Customer Service Assistant

Oppurtnity Description:  You will be the first point of contact for customers both via the phone and face to face and will manage all customer enquiries. Following training you will fully understand our products and services to ensure that bookings are taken efficiently and both customer and business needs are met. You must have a good attention to detail and be confident with general administration.

You will meet and greet our guests on arrival confirm activities booked, their duration, location, safety requirements and take full payment for their activities. You will introduce them to their instructor or party host and issue any equipment if required. This role will suit motivated individuals who are willing to get stuck in and support a small team to deliver an excellent service.

Skills and Qualifications Required: 

You don’t require snow sports experience. We ask that you are enthusiastic, friendly and enjoy communicating with a wide range of people both over the telephone and face to face. You should;

  • Be IT literate and confident with using Google calendars for scheduling activities.
  • Be good on the phone and able to understand customer requirements and match them to the correct activity.
  • Be reliable and proactive with tasks.
  • Enjoy being outdoors and have an interest in sport, health and wellbeing.
  • Be committed to equality and NSASC’s vision and mission.
  • Be available to work weekends and holidays.

Oppurtnity: Ski Instructor

Oppurtnity Description:  Our Instructors teach guests to ski according to SSS/BASI standards in a safe and fun environment.  Instructors are dressed in uniform and are role models for our guests, as such, they are expected to behave in a professional manner at all times.

Instructors should be available to work weekends and holidays, these being our busiest periods.

Skills and Qualifications Required: 

We ask that you are enthusiastic, responsible and comfortable with communicating face to face or on the phone with a wide range of people. You should;

  • Be reliable and proactive.
  • Hold at least SSS or BASI Level 1 or equivalent.
  • Hold a valid first aid certificate.
  • Enjoy being outdoors and have an interest in sport, health and wellbeing.
  • Be committed to equality and with NSASC’s vision and mission.
  • Be available to work weekends and holidays.

Bearsden Ski & Board Club based in the north of Glasgow for over 50 years are looking for a Senior Stores / Ski & Board Technician. Do you have an engineering background and a love for Snowsports and the Outdoors? Then we would like to hear from you.

The Role:

Ideal candidates will have a passion for delivering exceptional service levels, ensuring all our equipment meets the needs of our clients as well as ensuring the efficient running of our ski and board hire, slopes and grounds. The role will require a supervisory position and the ability to report to our management team. Good customer service skills and cash handling experience are an advantage.

Cairngorm Ski Club

Level 2 Coaches

We are a friendly and ambitious club seeking enthusiastic L2 qualified coaches to join our committed coaching team.  Cairngorm Ski Club offer coaches the opportunity to work with a thriving club hosting weekly sessions to members as well as adult and schools sessions.  We run a 10-week core programme which comprises both fitness and race training elements and are looking for coaches with an interest in both alpine and freestyle with availability from the 6th January.  All coaches must be level 2 qualified and be PVG registered.

Glencoe Ski Club Training is focused on taking good snow plough turners, all the way up to advanced freeride standard. This includes all levels of trainees undertaking some form of Race Training.

1 position for Head Coach – overall responsibility of organising all training activities.
4 positions for SSS/ BASI Instructor or Relevant Qualification.
