GB Park and Pipe's Katie Ormerod has finished third in the Snowboard Big Air World Cup in Alpensia, Korea, claiming her second podium of the winter season after her silver in the Pleasure Jam last weekend.
The PyeongChang Olympic test event was won by Anna Gasser from Austria, with Julia Marino from the USA in second. Ormerod took third with a cab 9 and a back 7. GB Park and Pipe's Aimee Fuller finished in a respectable 11th place.
Ormerod said after her win: “I'm super happy to get bronze at the Olympic test event. Especially as the standard of riding was the highest it's been at any Big Air contest and I landed both the runs I wanted."
For the men, Billy Morgan finished 6th with a cab triple under and a back triple 14, and Rowan Coultas was 8th with a cab double 12 and back double 12, in a very strong men's field. Canada's Mark McMorris claimed the win ahead of Max Parrot (Canada) and Ryan Stassel (USA).
